Day of Awesome
What: A High Holiday Day of Learning and Celebrations for families and individuals of all ages
When: Sunday, September 12, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Under the big tent in the Adas Israel parking lot
Who: You, your family, your bestie, your neighbor, everyone is welcome here!
Why: We are celebrating the Days of Awe, the ten days between Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). This season in time is marked with celebrations and newness, a time to re-calibrate, set your intentions for the year ahead, and refresh. The EDCJCC is here to welcome you back to community, we're facilitating connections, and helping you set your intention for the year 5782. We want to highlight all of our amazing staff, teachers, and the strength of the DC Jewish community. Join us for a taste of what we have to offer, and leave with new friends, new ideas, and renewed energy.
We have an incredible lineup!
Options for kids and adults happening all morning, plus vendors selling High Holiday gifts and kosher food options from Schmaltz Bros., there's something for everyone! Choose between text study with a rabbi, meditation, beekeeping, making holiday bags for those in the hospital, and MORE!
BUY WITH CONFIDENCE: If your plans need to change due to COVID concerns or local ordinance changes, we will work with you to exchange or credit your ticket toward a comparable program or activity on a future date. We know life is unpredictable these days, and the EDCJCC is here for you!
VACCINATION POLICY: Effective September 1, all visitors entering the EDCJCC's building are required to show proof of vaccination. Participants at outdoor events will not be checked for vaccination status, but it is our hope that regardless of where we gather, we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community.
