Good Deeds Week Gardening for Good
GroW Community Garden

Good deeds week 2021

WHAT: Get your hands into the earth during Good Deeds Week 2021! The theme of this year's Good Deeds Week is food insecurity and what better way to address it than helping GW's GroW Community Garden produce fresh fruits and veggies for Miriam's Kitchen? The GroW Community Garden is a block-length plot of land (located on H Street between 23rd and 24th Streets) supported by the George Washington University. Produce from the garden is donated to Miriam's Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that aims to end chronic homelessness in Washington D.C. Come out to help with basic gardening tasks needed to get the garden ready for summer.

WHEN: Thursday, April 15, from 4:00 - 5:00 PM

SAFETY: All participants (including children over the age of 2) must wear masks at all times during the event. We request a phone number from all participants in case contact tracing is needed, and ask that you please stay home if you experience any symptoms associated with covid-19 (please see CDC's list here) in order to keep our community safe.

REGISTRATION: Registration is free but you must register in advance to ensure that we do not over-crowd the garden and are able to observe all CDC guidelines. This program is open to children of all ages but children under age 12 must have adult supervision at all times. Please click on the "Sign Me Up!" button to proceed to registration.
