Art as a Form of Oppression: Changing Our Institutions from Within
|
![]() About: Welcome to our four-part racial justice series, Amplifying Voices. As we seek to move ourselves both individually and collectively from non-racist to anti-racist beliefs and actions, we are witnessing a moment in history with the possibility for true change. Amplifying Voices marries internal t’shuva, personal pattern breaking, growth, and reckoning with a series of programs by artists and thought leaders inside and outside the Jewish community who will help us reflect on race, religion, and identity. We invite everyone, both Jewish and non-Jewish, into authentic and meaningful conversation designed to move the needle on how we all engage in the world with sensitivity and compassion. After hearing about Mr. LaSalle’s efforts to make fine art institutions more inclusive, we will have the opportunity to view some of his original photographs. Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 7:00 PM EST Registration: Tickets are $12. Ticket sales will close 24 hours before the event begins.
