Stories of Exclusion, Stories of Change: Jews of Color Speak about Moving from Welcoming to Belonging

About: Welcome to our four-part racial justice series, Amplifying Voices.

As we seek to move ourselves both individually and collectively from non-racist to anti-racist beliefs and actions, we are witnessing a moment in history with the possibility for true change. Amplifying Voices marries internal t’shuva, personal pattern breaking, growth, and reckoning with a series of programs by artists and thought leaders inside and outside the Jewish community who will help us reflect on race, religion, and identity.  We invite everyone, both Jewish and non-Jewish, into authentic and meaningful conversation designed to move the needle on how we all engage in the world with sensitivity and compassion.

The first event in our series is Stories of Exclusion, Stories of Change: Jews of Color Speak about Moving from Welcoming to Belonging. Panelists April Baskin, Gamal Palmer, and Evan Traylor will discuss their experiences as Jews of Color and share strategies to combat racism and anti-Semitism. The conversation will be moderated by Candace Manriquez Wrenn.
