New Endeavors for Women (NEW) transforms lives by providing housing, fostering the development of life skills, and promoting education and employment to end the cycle of homelessness for women with and without children.

NEW has 13 senior women in Southeast that are feeling especially isolated because they live alone in their own apartments, and need some companionship and support, which you can provide by sending them letters and postcards by snail mail!

Sign up to receive a client who you will write to regularly (at least every other week), whether the woman writes back or not.

Content for letters or postcards can include: notes of encouragement, a little bit about who you are and how you are coping, a poem or a positive story you heard about, or a drawing from a child in your household. Please refrain from any references to drinking, drugs, or other activities related to substance use.
