Join the Edlavitch DCJCC's EntryPointDC and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Young Leadership to prepare delicious Thanksgiving side dishes for people facing hunger and homelessness in our community.

Come chop, mix, and prepare Thanksgiving-themed dishes that will be distributed by DC Central Kitchen to those in need in the DC area. We will be preparing green beans, yams, and collard greens.

WHEN:
Sunday, November 24
1:15 pm – 2:00 pm meet, greet, and eat! Bagel brunch to get to know your fellow volunteers for the afternoon (Kosher dietary rules will be observed)

 

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Service project

WHERE:
Edlavitch DCJCC: 1529 16th Street, NW

COST:
We request a program fee of $18 to cover the costs of food and supplies for our service project, $13.50 of which is tax-deductible. Ticket includes brunch and a complimentary apron to take home. Please contact Sonya if the registration fee is a barrier to your participation.

Everything But The Turkey is the Edlavitch DCJCC's annual event where volunteers prepare Thanksgiving-themed side dishes that help those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the District enjoy some Thanksgiving warmth and cheer the week of the Thanksgiving holiday.  

EntryPointDC is the Edlavitch DCJCC's 20s and 30s program and is committed to helping Jewish young adults in the DC metro-area build and maintain a Jewish identity and a connection to the community through social and educational programming. Learn more about EntryPointDC.

Federation’s Young Leadership The Jewish Federation’s Young Leadership engages adults in their 20s and 30s to be active Jewish leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists in our Greater Washington community. Young Leadership offers various cohort-based initiatives focused on leadership development, philanthropy and Israel education. YL provides travel abroad experiences, and hosts a variety of social and educational events throughout the DMV.
