and family of LGBT Jews can be very excited and supportive of their
child’s engagement… but not so sure about what that means for the Jewish
traditions and rituals involved in the day.
Keshet Parent & Family Connection, GLOE, and community partners, are bringing together a fantastic panel of LGBT Jewish couples, along with parents and rabbis for a conversation full of their experiences, ideas, and tips. We're thrilled that GLOE's Josh Siegel and Seth Schermer, and Yoni Bock and Ron Kaplan, will be on hand to talk about their experiences.
While many family members may have put on or participated in Jewish weddings before, there are a lot of variables that can pop up with Jewish LGBT couples – either with planning the ceremony, concerning comments from more conservative wedding guests, and inclusive practices to create a love-filled atmosphere.
Ask questions during the Q&A, or chat with individuals one-on-one following the event.
Geared toward LGBT folks, AND the families and friends of LGBT Jews.
(Come on your own, or bring others with you!)
All are welcome, of course!
