(Donations appreciated to help offset supply costs!)

Location:
Reeves Center
2000 14th St. NW (14th & U)

The DC Center for the LGBT Community finally got a permanent home, but they need our help to renovate! They were awarded a great ground-floor space, twice the size of their current home, but it's nowhere close to "move in ready." (Relocation News)

The first step is demolition! Volunteers will help Behrend Builders to clear out the old and make space for a brand new center to help serve our LGBT community. (All muscles - great and small - will be useful! No skills required!)

So grab your sledgehammer*, smash some walls and help this great community organization get their new space ready for business.

ALL are welcome.

*Sledgehammer not actually required (if you have one, feel free to bring it). We'll handle the supplies; you just bring the effort. And appropriate footwear.

Where: NW, DC (metro and bus accessible)
What to wear: Clothes you can get messy and close toed shoes!
Bring: water and snacks, if you'd like (there won't be a formal lunch break)

Questions? Contact Laura at volunteer@washingtondcjcc.org or 202-777-3245.
