March with GLOE at the fabulous 38th Annual Capital Pride Parade!
Join our contingent of DC LGBTQ Jews and our friends for this fun event. Expect singing, dancing and maybe even a little skipping...
Let's represent the equality and social justice that the Jewish community stands for! Bring your own queer-Jewish-supportive signs, wear a GLOE t-shirt, or just show up and enjoy all marching fun!
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Fantastic NEW t-shirts this year!
Pick from: "I Heart Nice Jewish Girls," "I Heart Nice Jewish Boys," and "I Heart Nice Jewish Queers" - in all the colors of the rainbow!
Not getting a GLOE t-shirt? No worries, but if you can, please wear a top that is a rainbow color! (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.)
*NOTE* Many of the size/text/color options are now sold out! Please put multiple color options. We'll do our best! (But we fill the order, in the order it was received. Thanks for understanding.)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) Where do we meet?
BLUE SECTION #B12 - On 22nd, at P St.
Look for the GLOE banner and t-shirts.
Click here for the line-up map (the 2nd map on the page).
2) What time do I have to be there?
We are required to line up at 3:30 pm, at 22nd & P Streets.
3) What should I bring/wear?
Sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a positive attitude.
If you've got a GLOE t-shirt, great! If you have other items that "read"
Jewish or LGBT you'd like to wear, great!
If you can, please wear a top that is a rainbow color - either our t-shirt or your own! (Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.)
4) Can I bring my own Jewish LGBT sign?
Yes! As long as it's not vulgar or disrespectful, we welcome creative, supportive signs. We'll be making signs ourselves on Wednesday night at the DCJCC (16th & Q) from 5:30-7:30 pm - join us!
5) What is the parade route?
The parade goes through Dupont and Logan. (Parade route map)
6) Can I bring a friend? Even if they aren't Jewish/LGBT/etc?
Yes! All are welcome!
7) What will we be doing, exactly?
We will be waving and smiling, perhaps a little group singing. (However,
with so much music playing all around us, it will probably
be a quick group shout of, "Shabbat Shalom!" to the crowd in between songs.)
We'll also be throwing candy and some GLOE-related swag. We take turns carrying the banner.
8) Rain plan?
If it rains, it's supposed to stop before Parade line-up time, so there should be no problem.
However, if it does rain, the Parade is still on!
Announcement will be made on capitalpride.org.
