  Miriam’s Kitchen provides meals, legal services, haircuts, clothing, art therapy, and much, much more to people experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. The guests who come to Miriam's Kitchen come from a myriad of situations, places, and backgrounds, but they each have an amazing story to tell. Since theater is, at its core, the process of sharing stories, Theater J and Miriam's Kitchen have worked together to create a workshop in which guests can gather and share their life stories with one another. In this intimate reading, actors take on the roles of the guests, and share their stories with an audience. Tickets are free.
