Join Dr. Dan Shapiro for an informal and interactive discussion about helping your child towards healthy sleep habits. Dr. Dan will review reasons why some children have a hard time with self-settling and sleep maintenance. Then, in response to participants' real-life challenges, he will present effective strategies for solving common sleep problems.
About Dr. Dan Shapiro
Dr. Dan was an undergraduate at Michigan State University and received his Medical Degree in 1982 from George Washington University. After completing Pediatric Residency Training at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in 1985, he practiced General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine in Silver Spring, Maryland. In 1998, Dr. Dan shifted his focus to specialize in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, working out of his home-office in Rockville, Maryland and consulting in many area schools. Dr. Shapiro is Board Certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Member of the Society for Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics and an Assistant Clinical Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He is married and has four children.
