In today’s increasingly demanding world, you need a practical way to improve current lay and professional leadership in Jewish community organizations. Dr. Misha Galperin draws on over thirty years of professional experience, as well as insights from the world of business, psychology and research in Jewish demographics and sociology, to help you see what is working and what is not. In a style that is informative, accessible and direct, he provides inspiring, action-oriented advice and examples that illustrate how these “lessons from the field” can help you cultivate strong, effective and transformative leadership that will help your organization achieve its goals.

Dr. Misha Galperin is President and CEO of Jewish Agency International Development. In this role, he is responsible for the Jewish Agency for Israel’s External Affairs, Financial Resource Development, Marketing and Communications and many of its strategic initiatives worldwide.

He has written and spoken internationally on issues of peoplehood, Jewish identity and community; and was chosen as one of the "Top Five" in the 2010 Forward List of the 50 most influential Jewish leaders in North America.

Before assuming this position, Dr. Galperin was CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for 9 years and prior to that served as COO of UJA-Federation of New York.

Dr. Galperin was born in Odessa, Ukraine and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. He has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology; is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program; and has worked as an interpreter, teacher, psychotherapist and executive of several social services, community services and educational institutions.
