Join GLOE Youth & Family for the first event in our LGBT Life Planning Series, focusing on Real Estate! The Series gathers experts to help navigate the unique issues and laws that LGBT people encounter at various stages of life, with information specific to the DC-MD-VA area.
In this interactive session, our real estate and lending experts will discuss Fair Housing laws and how protections apply differently in DC, MD and VA, especially in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as religion. They'll explain what realtors are and are not allowed to tell you, issues in shared property ownership and title issues, and resources for the LGBT community.
Panelists will also give an update on the current DC-area property market, how to pick an agent and lender, leasing versus buying, and other key topics. Following the panel, you'll have time to speak with our panelists individually to ask any remaining questions!
