Off The Wall is a series of artist talks put on by the Ann Loeb Bronfman Gallery as a way of showcasing contemporary Jewish and/or local artists.
Mike Schreiber, a N.Y.-based photographer, will join us to talk about and sign his book True Hip-Hop, a collection of his work over the past thirteen years.
Schreiber has worked with and photographed some of the music industry’s best known artists, including Mos Def, Biz Markie, Beastie Boys and M.I.A.
In addition to music, he has traveled the world photographing different places and people. His photos capture the true essence of cultural life and perspective, resulting in an unparalleled aesthetic viewpoint that is refined yet undeniably honest in its raw and gritty tone.
Schreiber’s photographs have been featured in magazines such as Esquire, Rolling Stone, TRACE, New York Magazine, VIBE, XXL, and Spin. He has shot ad campaigns for Mountain Dew, City Year, Partnership For A Drug-free America and has worked with big name record companies like Atlantic Records, Sony and Universal Records.
This program is presented in partership with the Authors Out Loud Literary Series; and EntryPointDC, the spot for DC's Jewish 20s and 30s
