WJFF Friend-raiser Screening and Party Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theatre, Washington DCJCC
WJFF PRESENTS
MAYA Wednesday, August 10, 7:30 pm Film and Summer Party-on-the-Steps
DC Premiere
In this stinulating and entertaining film, a struggling young actress finally lands the leading role in a theater production. Seeking to research her character in depth, she spends time observing in a psychiatric ward while also becoming romantically involved with the play’s writer/director. By the evening of the premiere, the actress is walking a thin line between acting and madness as the film builds towards a satisfying conclusion. Israel, 2009, 89 minutes, Hebrew with English subtitles. Director: Michal Bat Adam
After the film, come enjoy a summer wine and dessert party on the 16th Street steps!
