The DCJCC offers five levels of conversational Hebrew, from learning the aleph bet to reading advanced literature. Our teachers Lorit and Sarit are native Hebrew speakers with many years of teaching experience. They regularly tweak their classes to fit the needs and interests of thier students.
Classes are offered Wednesday evenings in eight-week sessions. Each class is one hour.
Levels 1, 2, 3 and Intermediate require the textbook Hebrew From Scratch (Part 1)- you can purchase a new copy of the textbook at the time of registration.

Wednesdays, June 29- August 17
Level 1: 6:30pm-7:30pm
Level 2: 7:30pm-8:30pm
Advanced: 8:30pm-9:30pm
Thursdays June 30- August 18
Level 3: 6:30pm-7:30pm
Intermediate: 7:30pm-8:30pm

Level 1 - THIS CLASS IS FULL, email us to be added to the waitlist
Beginners! This is the class for you if you need to learn the aleph bet (Hebrew alphabet) and start building your vocabulary. Students with a basic knowledge of the aleph bet but very little or no vocabulary or grammar experience should sign up for this level as well.

Level 2
Students who have completed Level 1 OR know the aleph bet, can read, and have started to gather vocabulary and grammar.
Wednesday, 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Level 3
Students who have completed Level 2 OR have so and a grasp of grammar
Thursday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Teacher: July- Sarit Lisogorsky, August- Lorit Chai
Intermediate
This level focuses on building vocabulary, improving reading, and conducting conversation in present tense. It introduces verb conjugation the future and even the past tense. Soon you'll be conversing comfortably in all three!

Advanced
Ready to challenge your Hebrew skills? In this student-driven class you may start reading the works of well-known Israeli authors in the original Hebrew or talk current events and politics.
