Day of Awe-some: Exploring Rosh Hashanah with the EDCJCC
This event has been cancelled due to weather! We're very sorry and we hope to see you again soon!
Provide a meaningful way for your young
children to connect with the holiday of Rosh Hashanah at Day of Awe-some. Join
us at Mitchell Park, a local Dupont Circle park, to hear the shofar, taste apples and honey,
participate in tashlich – the tradition of symbolically casting away our
sins into a body of water – and start off a new year through songs, crafts, and
stories in an atmosphere that welcomes everyone and caters to kids.
Online sales close Friday, September 7. At the door sales will be available for $25/family.
Note: If there is rain, high winds, or lightning, this program will be cancelled. We hope for the best and will make an announcement - if needed - by 2:00 pm on Sunday. We will send an email and post on the EDCJCC Facebook page.
This event is co-sponsored by the Edlavitch DCJCC, PJ Library in Greater Washington, Love & Religion: An Interfaith Workshop for Jews and their Partners and the Federation's Jewish Food Experience®.
This event is also generously supported by the Marion L. Usher Fund for Interfaith Programming.
