WJFF in partnership with the New York Sephardic Film Festival presents Nissim Reuben, Program Director of Indian-Jewish American Relations, American Jewish Committee DC Premiere Sharon and Sharona are the last two Jewish educators for the Bene Israel, a community settled in India for over 2,000 years. Now numbering only 4,000, this unique Jewish culture is at risk of disappearing within one generation as families such as theirs face the choice of staying in their homeland or maintaining their Judaism elsewhere.
