Hunger Action - May 2016
Join us at the DCJCC to mix, chop, and prepare food for homeless shelters and other agencies serving those in need in the DC area.
No cooking skills are necessary! Individuals of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
The food prepared during Hunger Action is distributed to over 88 social service agencies by DC Central Kitchen, our program partner.
We request a $5.00 donation to help us cover the costs of ingredients to ensure we are able to provide the highest quality food possible. If you would like to volunteer but are unable to pay the $5.00 donation, please contact Sonya at sonyaw@washingtondcjcc.org.
This event is supported by a grant from The Jewish Food Experience, a program of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
