June Community Cares Night with Housing Up

COMMUNITY CARES NIGHT

Housing Up, a new partner of the EDCJCC, builds thriving communities in Washington, DC by developing affordable housing and offering comprehensive support services to homeless and low-income families.

What: Spend an evening playing games, doing arts & crafts, and leading programs for children and parents living at a Housing Up apartment! Come try it out once or come every month and build relationships with the families. All supplies and games will be provided.

When: Wednesday, June 29, from 6:30-7:30pm. This opportunity will occur monthly and volunteers must register for each event.

Where: This opportunity is in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC. The exact address will be provided upon registration. The apartment is accesible by bus and is located .6 miles from the Georgia Avenue/Petworth Metro station. Street parking is available.

Safety: The EDCJCC is working with Housing Up to minimize risk for residents, staff, and volunteers. In accordance with Housing Up guidelines, all volunteers must submit proof of covid-19 vaccination to Mira Smith (msmith@edcjcc.org) prior to the program. All participants are required to wear masks that cover nose and mouth, and are encouraged to maintain social distancing guidelines. We cannot disclose the vaccination status of program participants.
