The Food We Choose

food we choose

THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT! WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.

Join us to learn about the environmental impacts of a plant-based diet and how our eating choices can help decrease our environmental footprint. Come hungry! The evening will showcase the diversity of DC's vegan cuisine – vegan Asian, vegan burgers and fries, and vegan soul food. We will also watch a cooking demo and raffle off ten of The Jewish Food Hero Cookbook by Kenden Alfond!

Come learn from Chef Ebeth Johnson, professional chef, plant-based culinary nutritionist, mindful eating coach, and media personality; Christin Riddick of Afro Beets, an urban garden to table educator who teaches his audience how to grow food in small spaces and then turn what they grow into culturally significant dishes; and Rabbi Jesse Paikin of Sixth and I, who helps build community through diverse programming every day.

There is a $15 program fee for this program. If funds are a barrier to participating or if you have any general questions please don't hesitate to email Sonya.

Please click on the red "Sign Me Up!" button at the bottom to proceed to registration.

In partnership with Avodah: The Jewish Service Corps, Interfaith Power and Light, Sixth and I, Jewish Veg.
