This lunchtime workshop is perfect for pregnant and breastfeeding moms who want to revamp their eating habits to nourish themselves, nurture their breast milk and create a healthful, whole foods kitchen for their family and children. Babies welcome!

This interactive and comprehensive workshop will include:

6 Simple Steps for Nursing Nutrition
Learn the 6 guiding principles that inform the foods included on The Ultimate Breastfeeding Food List. Whether breastfeeding or not, these recommendations build helpful habits for a lifetime of healthy eating.

The Ultimate Breastfeeding Food List
Together we review each of the food groups--and some of the individual foods--included in The Ultimate Breastfeeding Food List so that you can shop, store and cook with confidence.

Getting Food on the Table With a Baby on Your Hip
“How do I plan my meals and get food on the table now that I have a baby and I’m spending so much time breastfeeding?” Together we explore some simple steps you can take before baby comes, as well as some great tips and tricks for after baby arrives that help make mealtime easier.

Nutrition Prescriptions for 7 Common Concerns
Colic, cradle cap, eczema, low milk supply, anemia, acid reflux and weight loss – these common concerns can often be addressed (or avoided) through mindful food choices. Specific nutrition prescriptions and recipes can help you navigate these common challenges.

Lunch + Q & A
The proof is in the pudding, and few things build community like sharing a meal together!  Participants will enjoy a light lunch featuring ingredients and recipes from The Ultimate Breastfeeding Food list.  Nourish yourself while you ask questions and make new friends.

All participants will leave with recipes and tangible strategies.

About the facilitator:
Ebeth Johnson‘s passion and interest in food began as a young child with her easy-bake oven and continued as she chose to watch Yen Can Cook and Julia Child instead of the Smurfs on Saturday mornings. As an adult she developed her passion into an expertise through formal education at NYU, The Natural Gourmet and Cornell University. Now, as the mom-preneur behind Breastfeeding Chef, her goal is to help mothers understand how to use whole plant foods to help us raise healthy, happy children, families and communities. She lives in Washington DC with her daughter Cayenne, where she is writing her first book. Learn more at www.breastfeedingchef.com.
