Israel Arts DC brings the team behind the popular podcast Israel Story to Washington, DC for the first time, to present a live version of their dynamic storytelling show.

Just in time for a historic election in the US, Israel Story will present their show “That’s What She Said”, featuring extraordinary stories about remarkable Israeli women: including the friendship between Moshe Dayan's 99-year-old widow and Yasser Arafat's mother-in-law; a Bedouin woman’s “silent revolution”; and a Jewish transgender woman's journey to self-discovery. With radio-style storytelling, live music, singing, video and other mixed media magic, this evening will showcase exciting stage adaptations of the show's most popular stories.

“Going to see ‘Israel Story’ isn’t like visiting Israel. It’s better than that! These stories put you smack dab in the difficult, funny, lonely, happy
lives of real Israelis – all the complications left in. In stereo, no less.”
- Robert Krulwich, Host of WNYC’s Radiolab
