Hebrew Classes

Want to learn Hebrew? You're in the right place!

The Edlavitch DCJCC offers seven levels of conversational Hebrew, from learning the aleph bet to reading advanced literature. Our teachers are native Hebrew speakers with many years of teaching experience. They regularly tweak their classes to fit the needs and interests of their students. Find out more about our Hebrew teachers here!

Classes are offered Monday and Wednesday evenings in a 12-week session. Each class is one hour.

Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 require the textbook Hebrew From Scratch (Part 1)- you can purchase a new copy of the textbook at the time of registration. You can pick up the textbook in your classroom on your first day of class.

Cost:
Regular Price: $336
DCJCC Member Price: $300
Recent Birthright & Masa Alumni Special Price: $240*
*Reserved for Israel Program participants within the last five years.

This session:
Mondays, January 7 - April 1, 2019
** We will have class on January 21, Martin Luther King Jr Day. We will not have class on February 18, Presidents Day
Due to scheduling constraints it wasn't possible to skip both Mondays. January 21 is also the holiday of Tu Bishvat so you will be able to learn about the celebration of Tu Bishvat in your class.

Wednesdays, January 9 - March 27, 2019.

During our renovation Hebrew Classes will take place at the EDCJCC Townhouse across the street at 1534 16th St NW. We apologize for the inconvenience but this building is not ADA accessible. Call Darya at (202) 777-3259 or send an email to daryaw@edcjcc.org with any questions.
