Calling all young professionals!

Join the Edlavitch DCJCC's EntryPointDC and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Young Leadership to prepare delicious and nutritious Thanksgiving side dishes for people facing hunger and homelessness in our community.

Come chop, mix, and prepare Thanksgiving-themed dishes that will be distributed by DC Central Kitchen to those in need in the DC area. We will be preparing green beans, yams, and collard greens.

WHEN:

1:15 pm – 2:00 pm Meet, greet, and eat! Bagel brunch to get to know your fellow volunteers for the afternoon (kosher)
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Service project

WHERE:

Adas Israel Congregation
2850 Quebec Street, NW

COST:

We request a program fee of $18 to cover the costs of food and supplies for our service project, $13.50 of which is tax-deductible. Ticket includes brunch and a complimentary apron to take home.

EBTT is the Edlavitch DCJCC's annual event where volunteers prepare Thanksgiving-themed side dishes that help those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the District enjoy some Thanksgiving warmth and cheer the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. Learn more about Everything But The Turkey.

EntryPointDC is the Edlavitch DCJCC's 20s and 30s program and is committed to helping Jewish young adults in the DC metro-area build and maintain a Jewish identity and a connection to the community through social and educational programming. Learn more about EntryPointDC.

Federation’s Young Leadership is the young adult arm of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. It engages and empowers the Next Generation to care for the Greater Washington Jewish community, invests in its people, and builds for the future. Young Leadership promotes Federation’s Doing Good social action initiative, the Jewish value of tikkun olam (repairing the world), by providing young adults with hands-on opportunities to give back to the local community.
