WJMF: Opening Night with Danny Sanderson
Washington DCJCC

O-LMD-DannyDanny Sanderson
8:00 pm | Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater

Followed by an Opening Night party!

One of the most influential performers on the Israeli cultural scene, Danny Sanderson is both a musical legend and a contemporary pop icon. He is a founding member of Kaveret (“Poogy”)— dubbed “the Beatles of Israel”—and wrote the music and lyrics for the song “Yo Ya,” a favorite among American audiences. Sanderson played guitar in the Israel Defense Force with the Nachal military singing band, but soon gained a reputation as a composer and arranger. Noting American mid-60s pop and rock as his greatest influences, Sanderson has released 12 solo albums, written three books and appeared on Israeli television as a musician, comedian and host.

“…one of the most talented and creative artists the Israeli music scene has ever known.”Amit Salonim,

Co-sponsored by the Embassy of Israel and Teev Events
