A Re-Introduction To The Only-Mostly-Dead Art Of Chivalry

Bear Bergman helps us answer the question, “What, exactly, do people want in the world of chivalry?”

In romance, friendship, and just walking down the street, we’ll get at how the modern gentleperson can be courteous…without being sexist or a suck-up.

Everyone's heard the stories: men who get kneed in the balls for holding open a door, youngsters who sprawl on bus seats while elders stand, the myth of the handkerchief-carrying gentleman, and all the rest.

What about when your identity layers on expectations?

  • Jewish stereotypes around femininity and masculinity
  • For queer couples
  • Butch/femme relationships?
  • Straight, but totally feminist couples?
  • Everyone in between?

We'll talk a little about the principles, and then learn a lot about the mechanics of walking in public (v. walking in private, natch), and a whole lot more.

[NOTE: This workshop is very interactive (but light-hearted and no pressure)! Feel free to come as an individual, bring friends, or bring your sweetie!]

All genders and sexualities welcome!
