Purim Carnival 2019
When was the last time you dressed up like a queen or king? Now is your chance – the EDCJCC’s Purim Carnival is the perfect time for children and adults to dress up and celebrate this festive annual holiday!
Join us for carnival games, arts & crafts, hamantaschen (yummy Purim treats), songs and a Purim play! Don't forget your costume!
Little ones are welcome at this Carnival but it's geared towards ages 3-6.
This event will be taking place at the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School North Campus, located at 6045 16th St NW (at the corner of Fort Stevens Dr). The S2 and S4 bus lines on 16th St NW stop next to the school.
Price per family: $25
Click on the "Tickets" button to continue to registration.
This program is also supported by the Ruth Immerman Weinstein Endowment Fund at the Edlavitch DCJCC.
For those families where a loud Purim Carnival would be too much, we recommend our friends at Sensory-Friendly Purim!
Sensory-Friendly
Purim
Does your child cover their ears in a crowd? Do they avoid loud
noises? We will minimize the noise and other sensory input but
maximize the fun! Join PJ Library, Washington Hebrew Congregation, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for crafts, an interactive reading of the Purim story
(megillah), a mitzvah (good deed) project and treats to take
home. Best for
ages 4‑8. Register here: http://www.shalomdc.org/sensorypurim/
