WJMF: Zusha
Advanced sales closed. Tickets available at the door.
With sold-out performances in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago and Jerusalem, this folk/world-soul band of “neo-Hasidic hipsters” makes its DC-area debut at the Washington Jewish Music Festival. Zusha’s music is a blend of folk, jazz, reggae, ska, gypsy, swing and traditional Jewish soul that borrows lines from ancient liturgy. Their self-titled debut EP launched to #9 on Billboard's World music chart.
