Party to a unique mix of Israeli hip-hop, bhangra,
baile funk, radio remixes, 80s freestyle and a live performance by Israeli-American emcee and rapper Kosha Dillz. DJ Diwon fuses Yemenite music with electro hip-hop and cinematic
psychadelia, drawing inspiration from the Middle Eastern musical canon. Kosha Dillz transforms a history of addiction and emotional distress into an authentic sound that blends hip-hop beats with a Jewish sensibility. Special guests include Jamaican reggae/hip-hop artist TJ Di Hitmaker, who will be doing a special set of remixes of Israeli and Dancehall riddims, &
DC's own Flex Mathews, who was voted Best DC rapper of the year by the Washington City Paper.
"As a producer and DJ, [Diwon] is among the most adventurous and banging on the new Jewish music scene." -The Village Voice
"[Kosha Dillz's] tracks exude authenticity in thick clumps...his voice is energetic, teenage and a bit on the smart-alecky side." -The Jewish Daily Forward
