Pediatric First Aid

Infants in arms are welcome to attend with their parents; please do not bring mobile babies or toddlers

This basic First Aid course with a pediatric focus covers a wide range of emergencies that parents may encounter with children and adults alike. Topics will include burns, poisoning, heat and cold emergencies, bleeding, stroke, diabetic emergencies, head injuries, broken bones, allergic reactions, and seizures.   

Major Jay Gruber has been an American Heart Association instructor for over 20 years.  He has taught hundreds of classes and has been the CPR instructor for the Washington DCJCC Pre-School and Summer Camp for the past several years.  He is also a volunteer EMT-B in Montgomery County and has served the community in that role for over 25 years.
