On My Mind In My Heart-shortlist.jpg

Join us for a unique evening of advocacy and theater.

Directed by Thembi Duncan and brought to the Edlavitch DCJCC by EmpowerDC, On My Mind/In My Heart: the Voices of Women in Public Housing invites you into the lives and experiences of real women living in DC’s public housing. Developed by playwright Caleen Sinnette Jennings (Queens Girl in the World) and set to a soundtrack by DC’s own DC RBI, this play includes themes of housing justice, disability, loss, and leadership. This is the only performance scheduled for Northwest Washignton.

The performance will be followed by a talk-back and discussion with the audience with the actors and Empower DC staff.

Tickets are $10 and support EmpowerDC and their efforts to increase affordable housing in the District. Purchase your tickets today!

Tickets are at theaterj.org/on-stage/on-my-mind-in-my-heart

Co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council and Adas Israel Congregation.
