Washington DC Jewish Community Center

Fancy Food Show 2012
Washington Convention Center

Our partner, the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) helps so many organizations in the DC area including us and our Hunger Action program. Throughout the year before each Hunger Action event we go shopping at the CAFB and purchase good, healthy food that our volunteers prepare that eventually goes to the homeless and hungry in our community.

This year the Fancy Food Show is coming to DC and all of their extra food will be donated to the CAFB. CAFB needs volunteers to help collect and package all the leftover food that will be donated. If we get a group of 10 volunteers or more to help then the JCC's Hunger Action program will get 1000lbs in free food.

We helped out 2-years ago and it was a lot of hard work but a ton of fun!!

Volunteers need to be:

18 years old or older
be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs
be free for the full 6 hours from 2:00-8:00 pm

If you have any questions about volunteering please email Erica Steen at ericas@washingtondcjcc.org.

Date:
Time: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM

We're sorry, the deadline for registering for this event has passed.
