Jewish Community Center of Washington, DC

To the Rescue: Providing Legal Aid to DC's Underserved

Tuesday, November 7, 2017
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Edlavitch DCJCC

Meet Tzedek DC, a new Jewish organization in town providing legal services to low-income individuals, and join us for dialogue with the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless around the issue of legal access for underserved communities in the District. The evening will include a workshop on looking at gentrification, the sources of power, and each of our roles in making DC a more just and livable city for all. This is a chance to learn more about these critical social justice issues, meet others who are interested in fighting for the rights of DC residents, and find out how you can get directly involved with Tzedek DC and the Washington Legal Clinic.

A kosher vegetarian dinner will be served.

We request a $10 registration fee to help cover the costs of the program. If this is in any way a hardship please email Sonya.

This program is presented in proud partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Tzedek DC, and AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps.
