O-LMD-jazzDo you enjoy listening to jazz, but feel that you don’t always “get it”? Wish you could name some jazz musicians other than Duke Ellington? If you like jazz, but want to understand and enjoy it more, then this course is for you! We will listen to classic jazz recordings and explore improvisation, the sound of the Blues, swing and standards, and the impact of World Music. For a detailed description of the course, see

Paul Feldman has had a passion for jazz as a listener, player, student and teacher for over 30 years. He studied jazz saxophone and theory at Columbia University and at New York City’s Jazzmobile. He also studied jazz history with Ron Carter - the bass player in one of Miles Davis’ most famous quintets - at City College of New York.
