Introduction to Judaism - Spring Session 2013
Bring your questions to the table as we explore the rich fabric of Judaism and Jewish life. You do not need any prior Jewish knowledge for this class.
Using traditional texts and modern examples, we will cover fundamentals including Shabbat and holidays, prayer, lifecycle rituals, ethics, and beliefs.
This class runs on Wednesday evenings for eight weeks.

*there will be no class March 27 during Passover
Due to the expected winter weather on March 6, the first class will be held Wednesday, March 13. Registration is extended until then.
We will make up for the missed class by holding a double class, with dinner, on the last day, Wednesday, May 1.

Miriam
Weiner Szubin has taught Introduction to Judaism at the DCJCC since 2007.
Formerly a History and Jewish History teacher at the Charles E. Smith Jewish
Day School in Rockville, she has a Masters in Jewish Education from the Jewish
Theological Seminary and is the DCJCC’s Parenting Center Coordinator.
