Want to get involved in making equality a reality in Maryland this November? Phonebanking is an effective and easy way to help!

Jewish law and culture instruct us to pursue justice, and GLOE is partnering with Jews United for Justice to support equality in Maryland this November!

ChuppahWe are working to pass the DREAM Act - giving hardworking, high-achieving high school students access to higher education - and passing Marriage Equality - affecting LGBT couples whose ability to get married would have a monumental effect on our families and futures.

We've seen the numbers: when people know the details of the issues, they vote for equality! Spend a couple hours making calls to Maryland voters to help get the word out.

Just bring your cell phone and we'll provide the script!

The Initiatives on Maryland's Ballot - November 6

Vote FOR Question 4 - The DREAM Act
The DREAM Act offers undocumented immigrants who do well in high school the ability to pay in-state tuition at Maryland community college - and after two years there, they can pay in-state tuition at a Maryland state university. It's a step toward truly making this country a land of opportunity for hard-working immigrants like the ones from our families.

Vote FOR Question 6 - Marriage Equality
Marriage Equality would "allow gay and lesbian couples to obtain a civil marriage license" in Maryland. Maryland can be the FIRST state to pass marriage equality via the ballot, but it's been defeated before, and while we have a chance this time, it's not a done deal without more work between now and the election!

Time: 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM
