Toiletry Kits for Asylum Seekers

Asylum Toiletry Kits

Help support recently arrived asylum seekers in the DMV!

What: Each month, Texas has been busing hundreds of migrants seeking asylum at the border to DC. Emergency relief organizations and grassroots aid networks are coming together to provide essential support for these individuals and we are helping by providing toiletries so that folks can have a shower after their long and difficult journey. Volunteers will spend the evening packing toiletry kits for these individuals and families new to the DMV.

Who: This program is open to all ages!

When: 7:00PM-8:00PM

Where: The program will take place inside the EDCJCC located at 1529 Sixteenth Street NW.

Registration: To supplement the cost of supplies, the cost of registration is $10 per participant. This fee is fully tax-deductible. Please register for each individual member of your family so we have an accurate head count. Click on the Sign Me Up! button to proceed to registration.

Covid-19: At this time, masking is optional inside the Edlavitch DCJCC but we encourage and embrace everyone to do whatever is best for you. All visitors entering the EDCJCC’s building are required to show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours. For more information, visit edcjcc.org/covidsafety
