In the southern portion of the richest city in the richest state in America, a devastating civil war has been raging for more than 40 years and cost more than 15,000 lives. The battlefield is South Central Los Angeles.  Narrated by Forest Whitaker, the film grimly examines the war zone of gang violence as it searches for answers by providing historical and sociological context.
