 Camp GLOE

Come get brunchy at GLOE's Annual End-of-Summer Social Event!

Celebrate the last bit of summer with GLOE at this friendly social, filled with music, summer games, cold drinks (including mimosas!), delightful conversation, and of course, the good bagels.

Connect with all the new faces, old friends, and all the fab LGBTQ Jews in DC. Whether you're new to town or you've been here for years, GLOE wants you to get schmoozey, kick back, and find out about some great events coming up. Take the time to reconnect with the fabulous faygelehs and the whole Jewish LGBTQ community.

All are welcome (Jews and bagel-chasers, LGBTQ folks and our friends, alike!) ...as long as you're fun and friendly.

FAQ

Faygeleh?
It's Yiddish slang for gay.
Plus, it comes from the German word vogel (bird), which to us looks a lot like vogue... Should the spirit move you, you should feel free to vogue at brunch.

Kosher?
Yep! It's kosher dairy.

Age?
21+. Now, if we ever host a boozy brunch in another country where the drinking age is lower, we'll let you know. Until that time, US law tells us you have to be 21 or over.

Two bar tickets for mimosas are included with your registration. Additional tickets will be available for purchase at the bar.

Accessibility?
Please get in touch with any accessibility needs you have, so we can make sure it's a great experience for you. Contact gloe@washingtondcjcc.org.

What if I don't know anyone?
This event will be a first event for lots of people, in addition to our friends who have been around for a while. There will be lots of opportunities to meet other newcomers. (Also, volunteering is a great way to meet others!)

Need volunteers?
Yes, thanks. We have a limited number of volunteer slots, for those who would like to help make this big community event happen. In exchange, you'll get in for free. Pick the volunteer ticket option when signing up.

What the heck is cornhole?
After lawn darts, it is the sport of kings and champions. [This site explains cornhole], including links to the national players association. Yes, there is one. And yes, this is about as sporty as some of us get.

What if it rains?
We're still on! We've got a back-up spot inside the J.

Other questions?
No, we can't set you up with someone (but definitely let us know if you meet someone dreamy). Otherwise, contact gloe@washingtondcjcc.org with any other questions.

CHOOSE A T-SHIRT!

We'll have great summertime games and campy atmosphere... so we figured, what's summer fun without an official t-shirt? These t-shirts are fitted and VERY soft.

SIZING TIPS
The Feminine Cut Shirt -
The feminine cut t-shirt shape is a little more hour-glass, and fitted, and the sleeves are a touch shorter. It runs at least 1 size smaller than your usual size. Seriously. (Feminine cut size chart)
The Masculine Cut Shirt - The masculine t-shirt shape is a little boxier/square cut in shape, but still fitted. It runs true to size, though if you don't want it to be as fitted, choose 1 size up. (Masculine cut size chart)

Please pick whichever t-shirt style you prefer.
